My name is Erica and I am a nineteen year old college student. I was sexually abused as a child by an older stepbrother. Basically he would come into my room at night hold me down and rape me. During that time of abuse I didn't tell anyone because he threatened to kill me and I believed him. He also told me that he would hurt my younger sister if I did tell. So I didn't tell and now am just starting to tell anyone. I have suffered in silence for too long. I was recently diagnosed with depression, but am surviving.I really don't know what to do or where to start to become a survivor instead of this victim like I feel like right now. It happened when I was 9 yrs. old. My common-law step father did it to me. He would touch me in unpleaset ways. It would happen when my mother was gone. He contuned to do until I left his household.
