After Silence -Rape and My Journey Back:
Nancy Venable Raine's account of her rape and recovery, as well as her profound observations about how society and people help and hinder the recovery of rape survivors. I found this book to be triggering, but excellent.

Telling: Patricia Weaver Francisco's memoir of rape and her recovery
Surviving the Silence: Black women's stories of rape and survival.
Author Charlotte Pierce-Baker recounts her story and the stories of other black women she interviewed. A powerful book for all survivors to read, regardless of race.
Because I Remember Terror, Father, I Remember You: Sue William Silverman recounts her the story her abuse by her father and her recovery,
with the support of her therapist and husband. A mesmerizing book, that tells us what we need to know. Healing is possible if we work hard.
Aftermath: Violence and The Remaking of a Self: Susan J. Brison's survival story as well as her philosophical musings on the difficulties of
recreating a shattered self after rape, or any trauma.
Moving On: Australia's Louise Phillips tells of her rape, by a stranger, and recovery. An excellent book, told in a distinctly Australian voice.
I Have Life Allison's journey through sexual assault to healing
Beauty Restored: Me Ra Koh, a Christian, writes of her rape and how her religion helped her heal. Intertwined in the story, she includes a parable.
This book presents interesting ideas, Christians and non-Christians alike.
The Truth About Rape A terrific book! I'm excited to read this new book written by a survivor, who counsels other survivors.
Lost Faith to Living Faith: Ren R. Royal, the author says, "I am a preacher’s daughter, I was an orphan in Seoul, Korea and was adopted into a Lutheran preacher’s family. I was raised with the faith, but many circumstances in life have contributed to my loss in faith, and then I found faith again, even stronger, and I wish to share this story of hope with other women, other victims of rape and abuse."
Living for Today: Erin Merryn - The sequel to Erin's book,
Stolen Innocence. Erin cultivated the strength to face her abuser and eventually facilitated and experienced relief from years of emotional restlessness, while also igniting the beginnings of a new fearless journey.
Living for Today chronicles that journey, which began with the unearthing of private shame and releasing of ugly memories and letting go of guilt and becoming the mouthpiece of millions of her generation.
